The class 10 board exam is the first ever board exam in every student’s life. As more than lakhs of students are appearing for the exam every year, the competition among the students has been increased drastically. Due to the high competition level, students usually feel nervous to appear for the exam which indirectly hampers their preparation and confidence. Truth be told, it is not actually a difficult task to secure more than 90% in the board exam, if you prepare smartly and finish the syllabus on time.
Here are some useful tips for class 10 board exam which will definitely help you to score very good marks:
1. Solve Sample Papers: Students are advised to start solving all the sample papers and last 10 years question papers on a regular basis. This will not only give you an idea about the mark allotment to each question but also will help you to boost your confidence. On solving these question papers, students will get used to the format of the questions and can learn how to spend the right amount of time on each section. Most of the times the previous year questions also get repeated, which can be beneficial for you.
2. Plan a Preparation Strategy: You should make a preparation strategy according to your own comfort. This way you can cover all the subjects on time before the exam starts. Try to devote ample time to each subject so that you can clear all the concepts of the major subjects like physics, chemistry and maths. Gradually you will see a difference in your confidence level as you will be able to cover all the subjects easily and in a more systematic manner.
3. Track Your Performance: Don’t compare your performance with other’s performance as the capability to do something varies from person to person. Instead, compare your present performance with your past performance and focus on the weaker areas. Always try the shortest approach to any problem.
4. Focus on the Syllabus: Most of the times students don’t follow the syllabus and they consider learning from the notes is all that is required. But the fact is, all the questions that come in the exam are as per the CBSE syllabus. Hence, you should strictly study according to the prescribed syllabus in order to cover the necessary topics.
