Microsoft Outlook is used by various business domains as a mail service. This is a kind of free mail service that is provided by Microsoft for intra official mails within a company. It is quite beneficial for business organizations. The best part lies in the fact that its installation is not very difficult; it can be configured easily by using some simple steps. Here are the steps given to configure Outlook to serve as a free mail server for your business domain:
Step 1: Open the main page of Outlook application. You should also have some prerequisites for configuration like a domain name, access domain, email address and password.
Step 2: If you wish to add another account on the mailbox, then click on the tools as shown in the menu bar and go to the ‘Accounts’ option. It will appear as shown in the picture below:

Step 3: Now, a pop up window will appear in which user have to click the option E-mail account, through which a new account will be added to it.
Step 4: After the previous step, a new window will appear as shown in the figure above and the user will have to fill in the details such as email address, password, name, access domain and domain address in the given option so that outlook will be configured according to the mail id. The server name is also required in order to connect to the server.
Step 5: Finally, you need to configure the outgoing server settings. Click on ‘More Options’ and then click ‘Authentication’. The outgoing server details can be replicated as incoming server info. Now, click on the ‘Save Settings’ option and the settings are saved.
Now, your outlook is configured and ready to use. This is the configuration of outlook 2011. The configuration of 2010 outlook is somewhat different as it is done manually. Its simple configuration steps are given below:

Open Outlook 2010.

Go to ‘File’ and click on ‘Add Account’.

Click on ‘Manually configure settings’ and then, click ‘Next’.

Now click on ‘Email Address’ and then click on the ‘Next’ button.

Now, enter all the details like name, email address, password, server, account type etc and click on ‘Next’.

A pop up window will appear, click on ‘Outgoing Server’ and check for SMTP. Click on the second option that is ‘Use same settings as my incoming main server’ and click ‘OK’.
Using these simple steps, Outlook 2010 can be configured on your desktop and you can use the email service as a free mail service for office domain.
