Real Desktop, a lightweight software application can pep up your normal desktop by giving a refreshingly new 3-Dimensional touch. After installing the software, the desktop icons will start behaving like real objects by allowing you to touch & move wherever you want. It even allows you to rotate & lift the icons from the desktop as well. This software works well with both Windows XP & Vista.
The RealDesktop software is available in three versions, Light, Standard & Professional. The lighter version of the Software is available for free download. Apart from the basic 3-D features, the free version also has features like Anti-aliasing which gives smoothing edge effect to the icons. However, to leverage full features of this software one has to go for its commercial versions.
On the flip side, this software may not go well with normal computer users as they might find it bit uncomfortable to use. For computer freaks, who like to manage files & folders similar to how they are managed in the office tables, this software is definitely worth for a try.

Thanks for sharing that good stuff.
Hi, When i tried launching the program it failed to start giving error “Direct #D initialization failed.Application will be aborted”. Any idea why this happened?
@Nag, hey, RealDesktop requires Windows DirectX 9.0 or higher to be installed in your system. So, check whether you have the right version of DirectX installed in your system or not.
This looks really good. One question though: what are the minimum sensible system specs that would guarantee this wouldn’t slow the whole machine down ?
Thanks to good information
