By Prasanna LM | Dec 27, 2008

This can be well justified by the emergence of 100’s of web based tools & applications, which atweet your photos & videos by mailre providing their own add on features to the basic service provided by twitter. The latest entrant to this list is an application called 2tweet from 2pad. This new app lets the users to tweet multiple photos & videos directly from their mail without even requiring any extra registration.

To start using this service, you just need to mail your photos or videos to twitter@2pad.com. For the first time, you will receive an email from 2tweet asking you for your twitter credentials. Once you are done with this, rest of the things will be taken care by 2weet. On behalf of you, 2tweet will create a gallery for storing your photos & will automatically post the link to this gallery as part of the tweet. The first 113 characters of your email subject will also become a part of the tweet. All the tweeted photos & videos will be stored in your own private gallery which can be referred for later use. Apart from displaying the number of views for each photo, it also has an option for accepting the ratings & comments from the viewers.

Wow, that sounds like a cool feature that one can actually create a photo gallery by just sending images. However, I am not sure about the value of twitter here… I mean, they tried to link two different things here that are mutually exclusive and very little in common.

Pras, Good to see you back with blogging…

@Ajith, Though creating a photo gallery & tweeting are different processes, 2tweet just avoids one extra step by automating the tweeting process. Thanks, I will try to keep you updated with as many tech articles as possible in the coming year. :)

Never thought much about having fun with photos in the past year. Would probably try to integrate some this year in 2009! All the best..

@Peter, Yes, there are lots of twitter friendly applications across the Internet. Also, there are news that Twitter is freshly raising $250 million of cash. If these are reports are true, then we can definitely expect lot more from twitter in the coming days.

This sounds really cool. I’ve just started using twitter and I’m impressed by all the add-on apps that are being put out there. However, I’m curious how this one is making money since you simply send it your message and never actually go to the page.

I guess when users visit the gallery they could have ads.

Yea, I’d imagine it hard for them to make much money with it. This is pretty neat though, i might make use of it.

Twitter can easily steal your time and work efficiency. And as much I enjoy conversing with others in the comforts of my home office, it can be extremely distracting if you are tuned into Twitter all day long
