Here is some good news for people who can’t resist logging in to their Adsense account once in every few minutes/hours to check their stats. If you are also wasting a lot of time for this purpose, now you can make this a thing of past by using a free AdsenseToolbar. This browser add-on which can be seamlessly integrated with either Firefox or Internet Explorer has been recently released by Metalgrass Software. After  providing the user name & password for your Adsense account, the tool bar starts monitoring  & it allows you to stay updated with your earnings & statistics.

Here is a list of features provided by Adsense toolbar

Automatic monitoring of your account: Users can schedule the time interval (in minutes) for automating the monitoring of their account statistics like clicks, impressions, channels etc.

Useful Adsense Related links: The toolbar provides links to useful Adsense related sites & forums.

Adsense Feeds: A list of some of the best Adsense related blog feeds.

Extra stuffs: The toolbar also provided a few extra features like weather information, local & world wide radio & some cool gadgets.

You can download & install this Adsense toolbar from here.

Adsense Toolbar or AdsenseLog ?

For people who are not aware of AdsenseLog, it is a separate windows utility that can help you to get extensive information about your Adsense account. Unlike Adsense toolbar, AdsenseLog is not a browser ad-on & also it is not completely free of cost for everybody. AdsenseLog is free for publishers with monthly earnings less than 100$. Publishers with monthly earnings more than 100$ can use the evaluation version for 30 days. After the evaluation period, they need to pay a one time fee of 50$ if they wish to continue its usage. AdsenseLog can be downloaded from here.

The new Adsense toolbar is like a lighter version of the AdsenseLog & its helps you to monitor your Adsense data with lot of ease but, with limited set of features. So, depending on your requirements you can prefer to use any (or both) of these applications.

I’m not aware of this add on. Thanks for sharing it with us. Can you actually see the daily earning right from the tool bar?

  5. no imagePras (Who am I?) July 25, 2008 4:38 pm

@Yan, Yeah. You can see todays earning & also yesterdays right from the toolbar. Apart from earnings, you will also be able to see the number of impressions & clicks for both the Content & Serach based ads with channel details.

Sounds like a good toolbar utility… Btw, does it also take care of any other Google services within this single bar?

Unfortunately, I can’t consume it much. Somehow, my AdSense account was not adding up any earnings despite clicks. Google AdSense support could not figure out why and I discontinued using it.

@Ajith, No. The toolbar is just for Adsense. It wont be possible to use any other Google services from this toolbar.

Personally, I am not a fan of toolbars as I find them annoying and an eye-sore. However I may make an exception for the adsense portion.

Sounds cool, I have always been a victim of intensive account account monitoring, especially when it comes to a niche site that I have that uses a lot of AdSense. Will check it out!

I love the idea of this adsense toolbar although I would want to make sure it was 100% safe first but this would stop me checkig my adsense account 100 time a day!

  26. no imagePrasanna (Who am I?) October 27, 2008 11:32 pm

@TH, Adsense toolbar is completely safe. I am using it from past few months & never had any issues. Yeah, it surely prevents us from checking the account multiple times a day.
