TechSagar is now powered by WordPress

By Prasanna LM | Apr 26, 2008

Moving TechSagar from Google’s Blogger to Self hosted WordPress was one of my long time dream. Few days back my dream came true when i finally made a decision to get out of Blogger, not completely but just for TechSagar. Being a big fan of Google’s Blogger from past 3 years it was not easy for me completely get out of Blogger. As a result few of my other blogs are still using Blogger. TechSagar is now hosted on Bluehost & is powered by WordPress.

Why i moved to  WordPress ?

Well, it’s obviously to overcome some of the limitations with the Blogger. Following are some of the advantages that i found with self hosted WordPress Blogs compared to Blogger.

  • Gives more control
  • Availability of large number of well designed themes helps to give a more professional look
  • Better comment management.
  • Availability of large number of plugins makes it easy to add extra functionalities

Smart move. I use to use blogger for my blogs, but WordPress is much better. Not only do you get access to turns of open source plugins, but its nice being in control of your own blog. I was always worried that one of my blogger blogs would get popular and I would regret not hosting my blog on my own domain.

Hello, I can’t understand how to add your blog ( http://www.techsagar.com ) in my rss reader

  7. Prasanna January 31, 2009 3:51 pm

@bimicigue, You can easily do that by adding TechSagar’s RSS feed URL into your RSS reader. You can find the link to RSS feed at the top right corner of the blog.
