Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs recently announced the launch of their latest product MacBook Air -the worlds thinnest notebook. As Apple says, MacBook Air is as thin as our index finger. Its thinnest & thickest points measures 0.16 & 0.76 inches respectively. The MacBook Air comes with a 13.3 inch wide LCD screen. It also features a multi-touch track pad and an optional solid-state hard drive. Another factor which makes this notebook more attractive is its weight, which is just around 3 pounds. It comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor which has been redesigned for MacBook Air to reduce its size by 60 percent.

One of the new feature that comes with MacBook Air is the Remote Disc. This feature allows the users to remotely access the optical drive of another PC if it has an installed remote disk software. With this feature one can boot the MacBook Air from an installation disk present in another system. The MacBook Air is also said to be the Apples most environment friendly laptop as it consumes much less power compared to other models from Apple.
