After barcamp, blogcamp,filmcamp & lot of other camps now its time for DevCamp in Bangalore. DevCamp scheduled to happen on February 9th 2008 is an unconference for the software development community. It is almost impossible to imagine any software with any piece of code. Eventhough we had lot of technical conferences, not much was there dedicated only to the software development. Here we need to realize the fact that talking about a product or technology from its functional point of view is different from tackling it at the code level. Is this because we being Indians do more support work or bug fixing for the already existing products or technologies rather than the pure software development ?. This can be due to the fact that even though we have put a strong mark on the world map in the IT service industry, we are yet to mature when it comes to Software development from scratch.
Best wishes for the organizers of this event & let this be useful for increasing the confidence level of the software developers who feel their code really matters.
