Changing the favicon of blog or website
On January 26, 2008
Favorites Icon, commonly called as ‘favicon’ plays an important role if your really interested in promoting your blog or brand. The favicon appears in the address bar of the browser, browser tab & also in the Favorites menu. If you are hosting your blog on your own domain then the default favicon provided by the blogger may be sometimes very annoying for you. This can be easily changed with a small tweak. Following are some simple steps to update or change your favicon
1) Create your favicon image by using any of the favicon generators like favicongenerator.com
2) Upload the favicon to any of the free image hosting sites. Here all the image hosting sites doesn’t support the .ico file. I used imageflicker.com.
3) After getting the full URL of the newly hosted .ico file, just include the following code with in the head section of your web page.
That’s it. Your blog will be updated with new favicon by this time.
